To help individuals in marginalized communities grow and prosper by eliminating disproportional injustices that hinder BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, immigrants, disabled, working class, poor, etc. advancement.
To confront injustices and deconstruct barriers inside and outside marginalized communities through a platform of education, safety, networked resources, and community organizing and outreach.
Every day, we recommit to healing ourselves and each other, and to co-creating alongside comrades, allies, and family a culture where each person feels seen, heard, and supported.
PCAC started in May of 2020 under a different name, Occupy Pendleton, as a response to the murder of George Floyd. Kenna Rhodes posted a call to action on Facebook then created the Occupy Pendleton Facebook group. Occupy Pendleton changed leadership to Briana Spencer in October of 2020 and was renamed the Pendleton Community Action Coalition. Since then PCAC has grown into a cornerstone of the community.
